A Day of Revelation and Gratitude
November 04, 2023
It's a day of emotions, it was a week of emotions. So much happening in my personal life right now. Yesterday, I got an email that our home loan was denied but found out it was for the home we terminated, not the one under contract. Yet, I cried like a baby in hubby's arms. My emotions are so all over the place with waiting, hoping, praying, reciting scripture, claiming the victory, rebuking the enemy and trying to keep peace and harmony in my heart. Then the weekend came so more waiting. God is continually putting affirmative messages in front of us to keep us in this race. We must and will win. Our Blue House is coming soon.
Today, I had 3 prayer requests and God answered 2 of 3 in the natural and I'm so thankful. The 3rd prayer request I hope He's taken care of and that soon I will see the fruition of it. I'm really tired of this particular problem and it has stretched for way too long over something easily taken care of. I just don't understand some people.
Then today Saturday came and I GOT my FIRST Vintage Postcard sale! YAY!! I am so overjoyed and can't thank God and my hubby enough! I joined hubby in our postcard business a month ago and I've been listing but not as often or as much as hubby does. We now own 2 online stores on eBay. I love The Postcard Cottage, our sister store. I love the vintage postcard business and I believe God is using it to help me retire and we can live off. It's growing every month and every year. We both love holding the past history in our hands.
I have many things to be thankful for and if I keep my mind on Jesus, He will always keep me in peace and perfect harmony. I also finished stitching my mittens with felt and now I just need to learn how to add the ribbon so they can hang. It is so fun making ornaments with felt. My stitching is really improving and I find it soothing. The thread I'm using is a dream to work with. In fact, I may never go back to the 6-strand embroidery floss.
Decided to take a short hiatus from cardmaking right now and focus on just stitching more ornaments. I want to wait until I move into my forever craftroom to celebrate that. I also took a little break from posting on my Flavors of Delight blog. I love posting food photography but lately with the house journey, I feel tired more often. My sleep seems to be short and my mind can get cluttered.
It's time for my dinner, so I plan to make a potato and add it to a salad. My prayer is for a sweet sleep tonight and that I can hear His sweet, calming voice clearly.
